Really important move to protect women in the Green Party (sure a lot of you heard the fabulous Emma Bateman's speech at the PP meeting from Sunday).

We are making strides within the GP but we need more help!

Who's "we" in this instance?

I was just coming on to post this! It reflects really badly on the Green party that a few individuals can make vague allegations and get someone removed from their elected post while refusing to even provide evidence of what clause that person has broken or how.
I've just got my spade out for this.

Who's "we" in this instance?

Well, me for one. And there are lots of us. Those of us who think the Green Party should support women's rights, for example. Those who think suspensions and removals should be open, fair and follow democratic processes. Those of us who think that it's deeply authoritarian and anti-democratic to try remove someone from a post while refusing to provide the evidence of their wrongdoing. So anyone who supports women's rights and fair democratic process, I'd say.

Good for Shahrar. I really appreciate his principled stand.
