Not sure if other threads already running, I missed the webchat, reading it now I think they were kind and answered really kindly. I'd have preferred honest and honestly.

Either yes women just means literally anyone at any time they opt to be, or women are women, transwomen are transwomen.

Justine RT that one with a sharp retort!

1/ Today Mumsnet had 28k+ posts on everything from Boris Johnson, ethical clothing, mental health, feeling invisible in your 40s, govn childcare top up scheme etc. Fewer than 1k were on sex and gender topic. MN has helped around 6000 women out of DV situation in last 3 yrs...

2/ Calling Mumsnet “radicalised” (and the torrent of misogyny it seems to have sparked on Twitter) is not particularly feminist...

FOJN · 01/02/2022 21:52

KittenKong

That thread is fascinating. Plenty of naked misogyny but it's worth looking at the lies on the responses. We're must be really busy considering there is only 6 of us.

FOJN · 01/02/2022 21:54

Likes not lies.

I read obnoxious tweets and replies like MLC's today and have to come right here to where the normal people are to calm down, to be honest. It's people on there with attitudes like that that drove me here in the first place. Ironically.

They like the word 'radicalised', don't they? I used to think that had to be a joke but they really mean it.

Artichokeleaves · 02/02/2022 09:39

Women who won't surrender their spaces, language, resources and selves to males on demand must have been 'radicalised'.

I mean what other reason would they mind?

Whatsnewpussyhat · 02/02/2022 10:11

They love to call us radicalised and a cult.
Apparently we all have at least half a dozen sock accounts too to boost numbers and spend hours harassing people online too.

Looking through Twatter comments it is mostly men chastising women for daring to take about women.

I saw that of 28k posts across MN 1k were on the Sex and Gender board. No wonder they want us silenced. The naughty corner seems to generate a lot of posts, views and as we know, many more lurkers.

Artichokeleaves · 02/02/2022 11:29

And all of us saying terrible, evil, radicalised things like 'no'.

And 'female people need rights too'.

And 'this be kind and inclusion words you keep using in an exceptionally hypocritical way meaning 'woman, do what you're told' - what's up with that?'

And 'no, I don't care the degree of transition any one has made, I still cannot share a space with them where I am undressed or vulnerable, and I am not budging on that because respect and tolerance has to be mutual and my body is not a validation tool for males'.

WTF would they think women couldn't feel this angry, this invaded and walked all over, all by themselves? Do they think if they could stop us saying this stuff that the situation will smell any less? Do they think if they don't let women say 'no' online that the answer will magically turn to yes?

Someone come and explain this to me.

Also 'MumsThatVote' as a name to try to encourage people to stand for office, vs actually vote, is just stupid.

IKeptYouLikeAnOath · 03/02/2022 18:27

Also woman are more than just bloody mothers. It's so patronising Angry

You don't get campaigns going 'get out and vote, Dads!'
