Scottish and English/Welsh Greens are schisming over gender

Everyone GC in the Green party England/Wales take a bow. Just by turning up and speaking and voting you have won a major victory.

Turns out no-one wants a Green Party more interested in gender stuff than saving the planet.

Turns our bodies, sex, and humans being biological is crucial in ecology. Who knew?

The women's committee now has a GC majority.

Genderists are leaving the party in droves.

Remember this panic is happening before the next set of crucial votes in Spring Conference:

"Spring Conference is 4 - 6 March, entirely online and there are important motions to support - Disaffiliation from Stonewall; Ensuring Sex & Gender are Not Conflated. And to oppose - Queerphobia. Cost is £45; £25 low-waged; £10 unwaged. So do attend if you can! And would be great to see you all at Green Party Women events and EGM."

All the GC women and men who fought it out in the Green party are heroes.

Excellent work!

Whoop!

Delighted for English GC feminists, but up here the Scottish Greens are doubling down on their destruction of women’s rights. And apparently cutting ties with the heretics down south. God help us if the SNP ever succeed in breaking up the UK.

Emma Bateman is a true hero in all this.

So much shit thrown at her and so much dignity.

Deadline for voting priorities is tonight at midnight, wims.

Fucking depressing to see the drudge that Scotland has for politicians, with a few exceptions.
I loathe the SNP but the Scottish Greens are quite astonishing with their anti science, totalitarian horseshit

I might be being unduly cynical.

But when I've looked at the Twitter accounts of notable TRA's who profess to be Green Party members, I struggle to find any messages or engagement with anything to do with climate change, environmental activism, environment policy change, local Green initiatives, attendance at demonstrations, links to climate research, links to key climate or environmental science conferences, seminars, recently-published papers...

Well, actually I'm not being entirely accurate with the 'I struggle' bit above. The reality is; I can't find a single instance of any interest in any of the subjects listed when I look at TRA Twitter accounts belonging to those who profess to be Green Party members.

A good example would be former sole chair of Green Party Women, transwoman and notable TRA Kathryn Bristow. It would be a challenge to find anything on Bristow's Twitter that has even the vaguest reference to climate change or environmental activism. They don't even mention anything to do with the subjects, let alone The Green Party in their title: Ace/Queer/Nonbinary/Polyamorous RainbowTransgender flag Mixed/Black. Disabled. ActuallyAutistic/ADHD/OCD/Dyspraxic/Dyslexic. All your option are belong to us. Fae/Faer

Perhaps Green Party TRA's determine that until their demands are met, the adoption of Green policies and challenging climate change will have to be put-on-hold, and therefore they don't rightly have an interest in such subjects until then?

If that is the case, if indeed Genderists are leaving the party in droves is it perhaps because they don't rightly have much interest in the subjects that The Green Party should be campaigning-for or the environmental policies it should be espousing? In effect they just hijacked the Party (both in England and Scotland) to pursue their own agenda?

A good example would be former sole chair of Green Party Women, transwoman and notable TRA Kathryn Bristow.

I note that as well as being both asexual and polyamorous Kathryn believes himself* to be a black woman. Is he also transrace?

*(MNHQ, his pronouns of choice are fae/faer. Surely you are not going to make me use those?)

I don't want to get too positive, but might this mean we have someone to vote for in next English elections?
