What the fuck is it going to take for the police to sort this issue?

Flowers to the women harmed by this horrible creep.

They seem to have skated right over his use of prostituted women. And, "sex addict" Hmm So wank until your knob is bleeding. But don't harm others. The idea that an addiction uses other people is repulsive. You could argue CSA is an 'addiction' or any other compulsion like arson. But they don't. Just the one that harms women. I mean they'll have DV 'addicts' next. That's as much an addiction as this.

He (the QC) said: "Its roots are in his prepubertal life that overwhelmed him, destroyed his career, almost destroyed him and hurt his undeserving and loyal wife and family.

"The fact he was a policeman has nothing to do with the execution of this offending.

"Not a penny of police money has been abused. Nor was it ever done on police time."

Words fail me...

Whatwouldscullydo · 21/01/2022 14:48

Do they think we care if police money was used or if it was done on police time ?

What we care about( besides the victims obviously) is that we ( women) have no one. We now feel we can't call the police to help us. Where does that leave us

ArabellaScott · 21/01/2022 14:50

How do we demand a police force that supports women? How do we get a review or an enquiry?

Safeguarding again, innit?

He was another sexual predator, working with vulnerable people in his day job.

Wonder if there were cameras in the changing rooms at the nick?

MrsTerryPratchett · 21/01/2022 15:22

Safeguarding again, innit?

The idea that sexual predators can be hired and work normally while being like this in their own time is bafflingly stupid. They don't see women as fully human so they won't at work either.

Yes, @MrsTerryPratchett. It seems that lawyer saying it was so bad because the offences didn't take place during a shift indicates that the lawyer is bafflingly stupid.

So...he shouldn't have lost his job...? Jesus wept.

Of course seeing women as mere sex objects will have affected his job!

Misogyny seems so ingrained in The Met and other police forces, it's difficult to see how it will ever be rooted out Sad

this is my issue. Is anyone even going to admit there is a problem? Then what?
