No. Because there's an obvious difference between asking the question on an anonymous voluntary survey, and demanding to the information via FOI.

Not anonymous BlueberryCheezecake. School children are identified by their unique candidate number.

Who are the stakeholders in this, can you tell us, since you seem so keen to defend children being asked such questions, but not elected members sanctioning such questions being asked of children?

@BlueberryCheezecake as usual, you have simply ignored any details which do not fit your narrative. The school children filling out the survey are required to include their Scottish Candidate Number. Therefore, it is not anonymous.

I came to this thread thinking what kind of a question is that to ask government ministers but after reading the links, Bloody hell!!!

What is the Scottish Government thinking? What is the purpose of the survey and what will be done with the findings? what wil be done about children who raise flags? Is it just a data gathering exercise or will they get ouside support?

I'm looking for the FOI mentioned and haven't found it yet.

Can't find the relevant one. Either it has been submitted via a different route than the What Do They Know website or it has been deleted which I think they might do if it was judged vexatious or vulgar or something. 🤷‍♀️

Also, who are the systems admin? Why has access to this data? And which group(s) commissioned and/or are responsinle for the analysis of this survey? And why?

You know I hadnt thought about who will have access to this? I'm tired sorry so this may not make sense. I'm against the whole questionnaire thing anyway for many many reasons including the anal sex question and it being held in school and the identifying marker. But it just had not occurred to me that someone somewhere will be easily able to match up the answers in the questionnaire to an actual child. So then the big questions are who will have access, why did they take on this thing, who picked the questions and are they related to anyone who will have access. And theres more but like I say I'm tired.

Yes lots of people will have access, for data analysis, stakeholder discussion, 'RACI' personnel etc etc. Shared via email, no controlled copies, I would imagine.. And all you need is a look up to those candidate numbers. Are they hacker proof? Leak proof to the right buyer on the dark web? Or just a nosey sys admin.

Also apparently neither the child or parents are allowed to have it deleted under the GDPR right to be forgotten due to a loophole that the Scottish government are using so this info that is linked to your Scottish Candidate Number and therefore all exams and qualifications results along with your name, address, d.o.b, school and entire educational life will be held FOREVER!!!
I honestly can't believe that they are still trying to claim that this is anonymous and have made it abundantly clear to my DS's school that he is not to be even in the class when this is done and told him not to do it and why (in an age appropriate way) he shouldn't. Funnily enough when speaking to the school they said that 3/4 of the schools parents have said the same but the council are still insisting that the the school issues it guess they won't be getting many back filled in

It’s always odd when adults are asking about sex and children. What has happened to hold protection that anyone could think it was ok to ask children this. I didn’t even know about anal sex at 15. Sorry but in the late 1970s it was not publicly discussed. There were no expectations on teenage me to know about it.

Can't say how reliable this is as a source but the Scottish Sun mention that the man who made the request was 'warned they (Scottish Government) had considered classing the query as vexatious, adding: “You may wish to be mindful of this in forming future requests.”
