The article indicated that she gets quite a lot of bad press in America. Calling her transphobic in MSM.

There's a part of me that wishes she would go after these people. Public apologies and retractions would maybe make more people speak out.

The other worrying thing, of course, is these sensitivity readers that are censoring everything in children's books.

It's frightening. I can see a future with kids finding an Enid Blyton or J. K. Rowling and furtively passing them around at break, wide eyed with shock and wonder.

I heard something on the radio about a reworking of The Magic Faraway Tree. It’s by the Tracy Beaker author (can’t remember her name) so maybe it won’t be too cringey.

I think those of us who feel inclined should nominate JKR.
Can I also suggest a nomination for Virginia McKenna as well. She too is a national treasure She has done so much for animals, especially lions and deserves more recognition for that work. She is 90.

So Virginia has had a long career and played interesting and brave woman like Violette Szabo and Joy Adamson.
