Yes, I am old enough to not give a flying hoot with regards to talking about the physical reality of having a female body. It matters. It means we face risk & hardship that no male shares. Women still die in childbirth and pregnancy, many sustain life-changing injury.. my fibroid was a nightmare, had it embolised but it got infected, fever, antibiotics, then felt well enough to travel only for labour like pain to start on the endless train journey to Germany! Ended up in hospital and birthing the putrid thing. And had to wield off all the German doctors who thought I could spare my whole womb!
Who do these people think they are when they tell us we are women because of an inner gender feeling!

What you said was particularly meaningful to me because at the end of November I was rushed to York Hospital with extreme blood loss from a fibroid and at the moment when you were speaking to that silly man I was in Scarborough Hospital recovering from an op having had the fibroid prolapse through my cervix.

There’s a great bit towards the beginning where he says you’ve nailed it, you’ve shown how complicated it is, and I thought, um no, she’s nailed how very simple the whole thing is.
Woman has always meant biological sex and if they want to change it and have it mean [a particular definition of] gender don’t gaslight us and tell us it hasn’t been changed.
You were spot on. Thank you.

That man was so rude, shuffling his papers and taking that patronising tone to you when you said that that thousands of years old word, “woman”, means a woman not someone with a penis.

No any one under 35 does not agree with those who say someone with a penis is equally a woman should they so decide.

And if actual women were to give themselves a new name, people with penises would still not be in their category.

You were brave, strong, and clear.
