To not understand the issue with surrogacy?

I've seen a few posts on some threads in this topic, from people condemning surrogacy. I don't understand why it is seen as bad, if all parties consent. Can anyone explain, please?

So… you are now in favour of commercial surrogacy, and in favour of any clinic targeting vulnerable women.

Or are you simply continuing to denigrate posters as you have done for days because they have disagreed with you. And you have sought to shame the posters who disagree with you.

Not all countries…… the most powerful country in the world accepted it.  They have 330 million plus people compared to 66 million….   Doesn’t see to that many opposing views…

And then

I wasn’t implying that, christ they don’t agree with abortion in some states so I don’t assume they all think alike…. Some are more backwards than others

So this wasn’t about the USA? Please clarify which country then?

America? Did you miss that surrogacy is governed on a state by state basis? It’s certainly not the “America thinks it’s brilliant and allows it in all cases” that you’re implying in your post.

If we're playing that game the most powerful country in the EU and say 3rd/4th/5th most powerful in the world bans all surrogacy. That's Germany obviously.

France isn't far behind in the league tables and also bans it.

No. We are very serious about this and other issues.

I believe you started the ‘making a mockery’ when you started to be snide in your answers a few days ago. People have reacted to that since.

But we are serious about discussing the issues around surrogacy.

@roarfeckingroarr who says it's not ideal? It was ideal for my family. I wanted to get back to work and the kids were full time with their father. It was perfectly ideal. My idea of not ideal would have been a baby who couldn't bear to be without me for months as you describe. I thought feminism was about women having choices.
