Great summary of the last year in terms of activism. Very heartening read.

I predict that many people will feel quietly ashamed and wish they had been braver. A large number of men will begin to join the debate, professing surprise that no one else has spoken out before them and asking “where were the feminists”? Feminists will grit their teeth even harder.

Great to read this summation. Well done to all who have worked so hard for the rights of women, and children.

Artichokeleaves · 29/12/2021 13:03

That's a heartening read! Bravo to Sarah and the others who have refused to go quietly and pushed for the courts to recognise that they have rights too.

Sarah deserves so much praise for her work in challenging all the legal nonsense this ideology spews out. And that's a great summary of so many important milestones in restoring women's rights for women and free speech for everyone.

She does indeed. Thanks

Her closing point is really important. GC feminists are being painted as intolerant bigots because we cannot accept societal expectations and norms being predicated on gender ideology.

We need to be clear that there are alternative routes to building a fair and inclusive society for all that doesnt require denying biological reality

BettyFilous · 29/12/2021 14:43

What a cheering article to end the year with. Thank you Sarah.

Cuck00soup · 29/12/2021 14:53

Goats. Start by nudging you gently, then head butt you if you don't pay attention. You can't no debate a goat.

Thank You Sarah, there may still be mountains to climb, but the view is looking better.

Abitofalark · 29/12/2021 15:31

This is an article by Sarah Phillimore who was suspended from twitter and accused of being transphobic until she raised money and took legal action against the company.

Her review includes the notable court cases, books and developments of the year in relation to women's rights: e.g. Keira Bell, Maya Forstater, Alison Bailey, Harry Miller (on freedom of expression) and Marion Millar in Scotland.

Nice one Sarah and nice one The Critic mag who've been on fire this year with GC coverage

NonnyMouse1337 · 30/12/2021 08:28

Great article. Makes me feel more hopeful for the coming year reading the gains we've had so far. Thank you to everyone who has helped in whatever way they could.

catzwhiskas · 30/12/2021 10:58

Thank you to Sarah for perusing this through the legal system. Another for woman of the year!

Grammarnut · 30/12/2021 12:58

A good article and inspriring to finish the year on. But it is time to build on successes - but also to notice that success has not been 100%. Those who would deny biological reality are still there - and will choose other routes if we don't watch out.
