whether or not he's a creep has no bearing, really, on the fact that he was framed and/or stitched up.

I don't know that that was a fact, though. Regardless, even if he was 'stitched up', that doesn't make him innocent. The fact that he's a sleazy creep suggests he isn't.

"If a man shows you who he is, believe him". I believe him.

I have never supported the SNP, but the Indy issue concentrates votes even when people don't agree with the rest of their policies. I have snp supporting friends who could never vote Alba, because of Alex Salmond. This might be a big problem for us in the future.

I'm afraid the SNP have shagged the whole idea of independence, one way or the other. And I don't really care all that much about Salmond; I care about us having a functioning, healthy government.

@Rightsraptor

Incredible that over 30% think that males with intact male genitals should be allowed on women's hospital wards or in prisons etc. Who are these people?
A good portion probably privileged people who can afford to go private and who, unless life takes a very unfortunate turn, never have to worry about them or theirs going to prison.

The angry intolerance of this political position towards females is what is increasingly forcing people to a choice one way or the other.

Exactly this. I don’t want to support trans people or female people. I think trans women’s existence as gender non-conforming males is a validation of feminism’s analysis of gender as a social construct, and feminism’s analysis of gender as a social construct is a validation of trans women’s existence as and right to be accepted as gender non-conforming males.

We should be talking together, cross referencing our experiences of our different social positions, male and female, trans gender, gender critical and even gender conforming (“cis”), and through that triangulating what a better, less sexist and gender constricted society looks like for all of us.

That is what should be happening.

But as long as genderism, in painting that dialogue as an act of hate and preventing it happening, persists in forcing me to make it one or the other, trans women or female people, I am going to choose female people every time.

I don’t want to support trans people or female people.

Bit harsh. Grin

I fully agree with you, though. Feminists were with trans people. Right up until genderism said that males were to be the ones to define womanhood.
