I need a little vent really.

I’m in a group online that is made of people who are all fans of the same thing. There are a lot of TWAW posts and how JKR is a dreadful person. I just ignore it.

One person has posted today to say that their female born NB child is wanting to join sports groups at school but they don’t know what to do about it. No problem with the question or with the DC being NB.

But one of the replies talks about their concern about a female bodied child being in a rugby team with male bodied children because of the different body types.
Yet of it was a male bodied person wanting to join a female rugby group then they would be all for it.

Arrrgh

Cheater's gona cheat is not the best attitude to sport is it?

But that's non binary in a nutshell, is it not? A perfectly understandable solution to the horribly gendered world. But one which at best privileges you own child without doing anything to change the sexist world we live in, and at worst assumes other children must be pink or blue caricatures and uses special status to override their boundaries.

Well at least they recognise that the NB person is actually female and not some sort of "unsexed" person like you're supposed to think...

I just don’t understand how they can’t extend the concern of the female bodied child being hurt to see the worry of many when male bodied adults or children want to take part in female sport.

Well they're talking hypothetically aren't they?
If it ever actually happened to one of their daughter's they'd probably feel differently I suppose?
