Things are tough fighting the huge power of the Welsh Labour/Plaid government, but things might be finally improving.

A well known former Welsh Labour Education Minister Andrew Leighton has criticised the flawed RSE bill going through the Senedd. He read the excellent article from Merched Cymru on the bill and has spoken out strongly on Twitter.

This is only a few days after a major survey revealed Welsh schools are full of appalling sexual harassment.

Lets hope this gains traction. Perhaps the Welsh Conservatives in the Senedd might actually speak out on the issues. They have been pretty silent as far as I can see.

Next stage on the bill is on Tuesday. Write to your MS if you are in Wales. Details on how the legislation is flawed here and action you can take:

Thanks for this. I will write to my MS this weekend!

Remember you have 4 regional MSs as well as your constituency MS. You can write to them all.

Its working. The Welsh Tories are actually doing something as they get letters coming in about the debate on Tuesday:

Response from Mark Isherwood MS reveals Laura Anne Jones the Shadow Welsh Education minister is leading on this.

At least we are having an impact.

A relief that someone is speaking up. I've written to my MS (Vaughan Gething) FIVE TIMES about this since July and haven't had so much as an acknowledgement.

@MerchedCymru
In an interesting 11th hour development
@/WelshGovernment
has published draft Guidance to go with the RSE Code this afternoon. We'll be considering it overnight & contacting MSs with our key points before the vote. So far it doesn't look like the key weaknesses have been remedied.

Here's the link to the Draft Guidance. Let us know if you have any issues you'd like us to consider when drawing up with our priorities. No peace for the wicked eh!
