Engender Scotland

So disappointing that one of the leading women's forums in Scotland, Engender, felt fit to say this (below) last night when mentioning Emma Ritch. The speech specifically mentioned and placed at the forefront trans women again when recognising the place of feminism and also the digs at women who don't comply with the trans mantra. How is that feminism?

This was the final comment below. Call out? What, women voicing concern? I despair.

I want to reaffirm Engender’s commitment to making women’s equality in Scotland a reality.
To fight for all women. To call out those who seek to divide our movement; and to welcome those who seek an inclusive sisterhood.

Engender is a misogynistic men’s rights movement. They do not have the right to call themselves feminists.

And RIP Emma Ritch, but she embodied their ethos and did a lot of damage to women’s rights in her career.

Well, I don't think it's a men's rights movement at all and that's distracting to say but it does seem to have trans at the forefront of policy and women's rights a poor second. They have a strong grip on Scottish politics though and very influential. Not sure why?? Seem to be connected to the First Minister.

So disappointing.

Scotland so far behind in protecting the rights of women.

We're going the way of NZ and Canada.

Engender is one of those “women’s” charities the Scottish government funds, that has to be pro-trans to receive funding. So a pro-trans lobby group, funded by the government to give them the answers they want, which then allows them to claim they’ve consulted with women’s groups.
