Was happy to see that John Boyne listed 'Trans' by Helen Joyce as one of his books of the year in The Observer. I guess it being The Observer and not The Guardian he wasn't censored.
I liked his comment:
"Unlike those of her online counterparts, Joyce’s arguments are well researched, soundly made and avoid the toxicity that mars so much conversation on this topic."
Kathleen Stock was also featured as one of The Guardians faces of the year. The trans author of the book that made the Women's Prize shortlist was also featured, so swings and roundabouts. However, I am sure a few months ago Kathleen Stock would not have had a look in.
