I came close to that when my train was held up then my taxi got stuck on traffic then the Council Reception denied that there was a wedding taking place in the Registry Office that day, so I was late finally arriving at the room.
I do not recall saying this but apparently, in that quiet space of anxious anticipation, I stood hidden in the doorway behind a sea of suits and wedding hats and the breathless, whispered words, "Oh Shit!" wafted over the silent crowd!
