I agree that this is presenting the message in a way that people who aren't already versed in the issues will understand. I hope that people will engage with the consultation or at least contact their MPs about this.

don't know about similar stories in the Mail, however it is by far the most read online newspaper site in the UK

Such a sensible, compassionate, and as PPs have said, thoughtful article. Should be shouted from the rooftops.
