We know that twitter is awash with threats against women whilst women as banned for stating facts. And that the police take no interest in these threats. But what about cases which have been reported to the police? What have been their outcomes?

What was the names of that Student Union Officer who took pictures of his penis in the office etc and was subsequently protected by the SU?

Or that student who posted himself with guns and made threats during Marion''s trial? Has anything happened to him?

We Are Fair Cop made hate reports against one police force (and got email confirmation) but when they subsequently did an foi they were told the force had had no hate reports made against them...

Yeah yeah .. it's almost like there's one type of people allowed to say anything and another type of people who aren't. Wonder what it could be.

It would make a great PhD thesis for someone trying to figure it all out.

SweetGrapes do you think there is any way to distinguish these two groups? I heard tell that it is impossible to tell them apart? I would suggest maybe tweeting a biological fact and seeing if police turn up at your door but that seems a bit high risk.
