Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

The types of men revealed in 'this debate'

I was reading along to the Twitter comments on Richard Dawkins recent post about the declaration on women's rights and can clearly see three types of men. Have a missed any?

  1. Men who have never previously given thought to women or women's rights, never engaged in discussion about it with men or women and the first time they do is by telling women that they are bigots if they reject the notion that how you identify should instead replace the material reality and understanding of their sex. They are men colluding with men to continue the system of patriarchy as they recognise that this is what gender identity ideology actually is, a system of male supremacy. It's a show of solidarity to men and the system that ultimately benefits them. They have been groomed by patriarchy to separate themselves from women, as women are the 'subordinate', and to assert their dominance. They know trans women continue to be males and demonstrate male entitlement and domination tactics along with institutional support, embedding male dominance. They have chosen not to be affiliated with women, the subordinate, when presented with this public issue and instead choose patriarchy but dishonestly say it is because TWAW and that they are 'progressive' and 'inclusive' while being neither.
  1. Men who do not care until an issue effects them personally despite living in a world where 50 percent of the population are women being affected. They are ignorant or apathetic or don't want to engage until it is meaningful for them.
  1. Men who can see this is male supremacy and a torrent of misogyny at play and aren't afraid to speak up and show solidarity with women.

Men who think we’re feministing wrong and speak over us whilst telling us they support us. The ones who platform true-trans and ignore trans widows, who beseech us to be kind to their TW friends who are different from other TW because of reasons.

Narcissists

Whatsnewpussyhat · 03/12/2021 09:31

Most men entirely avoid getting involved

Why would they bother? In most cases it will never directly affect them, and if women are once again reduced to objects solely their to provide services to men, they will all benefit.

Tbh, I think when it comes down to it, if told to pick a side, most men will always side with other men.

  1. Men who spread the anti-safeguarding line and spend a great deal of energy trying to normalise children seeing the genitals of a man

  1. Men who gang up with other men to target women talking about safeguarding.

Tactics include; trolling, doxxing, lengthy conversations on twitter mocking them, hinting at their location, setting up a website to smear them, reporting them to their workplaces, visiting an embassy to prevent them travelling to another country and reporting them to the police.

I find the psychology of the men and women who go along with this facinating.
I think society can be split in to those who know nothing about it and those who do know about it.
In the camp of those who do know there are people who go along with it and those that dont.
Those that dont are generally similar to those that dont know about it.
Its the people who know and still go along with it that facinate me, both male and female.

You could speculate for hours why people go along with something so toxic but I think for types like AH, LOJ and man at bus stop, its that some gay men struggle to even see women and their needs so they initially think its a no brainer. Now I recon they (possibly not AH as he seems genuinly a bit crazy) do realise but are too publically invested so cant back down. The fake nievette they resort to in some of their public statements is truely hillarious imo.

dyslek · 03/12/2021 09:47

And yes, there is the pedo camp as well. As we know they are always on the job and never miss a trick.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 03/12/2021 09:55

They are fighting against pronouns, imposed speech, authoritarian ideas etc however they argue that it is all feminists fault - feminists invented gender and so they try to blame women and feminism as the root cause of trans ideology.

Absolutely. And these men love the idea of women agreeing they are different because they can try and reimpose the 'different and inferior' and 'different spheres' ideology of the 50s - in other words back in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant and man's helpmeet.

  1. Men who are child abuse apologists and/or child rapist apologists

@BoredOfSamphire

I'm in group 4. I do some small things where I can, for example at work getting the equalities statement on our job ads changed, and I donate money to relevant charities and fundraisers, but I'm not brave enough to take the career risk involved in being openly outspoken on the topic.
I sympathise. Although I've made several rage donations in the last two years I have ' pulled my wings in ' a bit on public forums after being piled on - by women let it be known. They can't hurt me but I worry about my adult children who work in a Woke sector. Recently I peaked a man by showing him a photo of Laurel Hubbard. You do what you can.

as a man I can confirm that there is a great and fairly often shocking degree of misogyny expressed when men speak among themselves. On the subject of TWAW I think most men are genuinely ignorant of what it means and the implications. For those who aren’t ignorant I think they probably put transwomen into the same category as “gay” and think that it’s perfectly safe for them to be lumped with women where they can talk about knitting, flowers, rainbows, shopping etc.
IF they were aware of the more contoversial side of TRA I think they would strongly object as traditionally such persons would come under the category of “n*nce”, which is guaranteed to get your average Daily Mail reader’s blood boiling. Not that is necessarily a good outcome or anything other than an extension of the patriarchy but I thought I’d offer a man’s perspective/observation.

Does he really see no difference between “nudity within the family” and “seeing a total stranger’s semi-erect penis in a jacuzzi”?

@SomepeopleareTERFSgetoverit he's deleted his twitter account overnight but when the Wi Spa video went viral, he said 'bodies are bodies', 'moral panic over genitalia' and 'I had bath's with my Mum' to justify Darren Agee Merager, 52, flashing his partially erect penis in Wi Spa to women and girls he didn't know. He said women protesting the obvious safeguarding failure had "Stanilanditis"

The coverage of the Wi Spa incident was shocking. So many people and newspapers trying to say it was all a hoax, until reality got in the way.

  1. Splinters up his arse guy. Gets them sitting on the fence, because he's not sure which side is the "right side of history", and spends a lot of time swinging his legs from one side to the other as the debate waxes and wanes, and he's trying to figure out which stance might make him look less bad given his previously stated inclination.

AKA James O'Brien.

I was thinking of James O’Brien when I wrote my earlier post! Although to be fair, I don’t listen to his radio show so I’ve no idea what his current views are.
