Rise of cults in the UK - very interesting

Thanks for the heads up :)

I missed the first few minutes but was especially interested in the section about the villagers opposing Universal Medicine

UM is a horrible, abusive organisation and I felt really bad for the man who had spent years trying to gain custody of his daugher from his wife who was a member of UM. Given UM's "esoteric breast massage" and other dubious practices the daughter is obviously now safer living with her father than her mother. It is good to hear of an example where the family courts made the correct decision.

One of the activist villagers described how their tiny village had been overtaken by UM

I can only say that in some rural areas of the UK they are so infiltrated by cults that is it almost as if the film Hot Fuzz is a documentary. The South West is really bad in this respect.

I’ve got to get new classes. I completely misread cults...

I assume it’s similar to the types of people who fall for conspiracy theories? I remember studying them for my psychology degree about 20 years ago.

I had never before heard of UM but was shocked to hear about the increase in cults in the UK - and then it seemed obvious when they analysed the possible reasons
