Has anybody seen this campaign?

Emma Watson gives a speech to the United Nations

And after her stance on JKR, do you want her advocating for women and girls? Does she even know who they are?

I doubt I accept the genuine good faith of 1% of the people involved in this campaign because their public utterances showcase their fundamental rejection of material reality.

Watson is an ambassador for gender identity ideology.

There is no problem with gender equality. Sex equality, yes. But we won't be achieving anything on that while female people are not allowed to name themselves, talk about or organise on the basis sex, in case of making male people unhappy.

Sex based thinking to the core, but shhhh. Look the other way.

I wouldn't want Emma Watson advocating for a bus let alone me and other women and girls, J K Rowling on the other hand a big fat YES.

People who get involved in some activities (politics, campaigning) need certain qualities; they need to be resilient, reasonably articulate, they need to be able to stand up to pushback and bullying. Imo, its unreasonable for people to take on those roles expecting to be champions, and for everyone to agree with them.
People who can't stand up to even very mild pushback cannot advocate on behalf of others.

I think she is just a foolish eager-pleaser. She doesn’t speak for women - did you see her blabbing on about how Hermione taught whorls bla bla bla. No mention of who created the character or wrote the books.

She is a weasel.

It's a real mess because many global orgs use gender equality in the old way when gender meant sex.

So in the end. We don't know what she means and we can't guess how different countries will take it to mean.
