I saw a poster on Twitter say ‘inclusivity is exclusionary for women’ or words to that affect. I do think it’s true. Including others often seems to be at the expense of women, never men.

Unisex loos are a good example of this. Around here you have men and unisex. No womens. Where are the womens and unisex toilets?!

I am the new CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg has been sacked. With all of my new $billions I'm going to buy you all fabulous jewels and stuff (which you can sell if you don't like). I am also writing songs as we speak and trying out my singing voice

Look at when female groups have won the best group award in the past few years, cue lots of misogynistic moaning that follows. If a woman wins best act there is going to be lots of complaining along the lines of her style not being as valid or worthy as males/SS.

Many of the female acts - especially the young ones - seem to be expected to perform in their underwear. Nobody even comments on how strange this is any more, it's just assumed. When did you last see a male performer on stage in just his pants at all - let alone with nobody seeing it as mention-worthy?

I'm guessing the narrative currently goes like this: "Huh, people only rate her because of her looks and the fact that she wears next to nothing on the stage."

I'm guessing, if they didn't perform in their undies, with plain hair and no/minimal makeup, the narrative would go like this: "Huh, she doesn't even make any effort to look nice or fashionable - some serious performer she is."

Meanwhile, male singers are judged on their.... songs and voices.

Brian May has spoken out about this and is getting the usual media treatment!

Just had a look through the past Best Group winners, the last group that won before Little Mix that had women in was Five Star in 1987.

It's a great idea, I think!

Why?

If this does result in fewer women being recognised, as it surely will, it will play right into the hands of those people (mostly men) who still believe that women just aren't as talentled as men. If women were "as good" as men, they'd win the awards. They just need to try harder. Just like the massive inequality in women's sports. If women's football was as good as men's, they'd have the audiences and the obscene amounts of money that men do. It just reinforces and justifies misogyny for some.
