(note, my link is to the sister newspaper Sydney Morning Herald)

This is an interesting read. It reminds me of the similarities between Dr Stock and Holly Lawford-Smith's pressure from students and colleagues.

The difference is that in 2018, Former High Court Chief Justice Robert French had stated "that universities must not try to protect staff and students from “feeling offended or shocked or insulted by the lawful speech of another”.

A long read, but with some show of 'balance' by trans people who are also in academia who support Holly, while not necessarily agreeing with her, or at least with all that she says. And acknowledgement that some activists go too far.

Apparently, this is part of short series of articles. I wonder what the next instalment will be.

I will post an archive version in the next post.
