Frank Furedi is an emeritus professor of Socialogy at the University of Kent in Canterbury. Here he speaks about the undue influence Stonewall and others have on the Civil Service, seemingly without the knowledge of ministers. I think many of us on this forum, have been perplexed by the power which Stonewall and other lobby groups seem to possess.

The civil service is awash with Common Purpose. Has anybody ever checked what they are teaching with regards to gender?

Good piece.

I worked in Whitehall Civil Service when I was around 20, it was a running joke between my female friends and I that almost every eligible man turned out to be gay. Perhaps that might explain why Stonewall has so much support there.
