Does anyone know anything about this apparently influential organisation offering its support and services for free incorporate boardrooms around the world? It seems to have started at BP and PWC. Who's funding it?

The first statement will be the answer to your question I'd imagine. It talks of partners separately to the free training for organisations.

It's run by Bobbi Pickard who is close mates with Linda Riley publisher of Diva Magazine. Lots of posts from Bobbi about it in the Diva community group (before I was kicked out).

From what I remember it's 'educating' big corporates on trans inclusion stuff, pretty similar to Stonewall.

Shedbuilder · 13/11/2021 11:45

It seems to have been operating very quietly. I'm not sure I've ever seen it mentioned here.

This is currently on display in our local secondary school (in Scotland).

Why are educationalists not questioning this misinformation?

"Sex can be a combination of chromosomes in 5 different ways".

It is astonishing that this is being taught in school.

I get why they've called it that in terms of it being for corporates, but I find it so apt that they've openly replaced 'sex' (as in Sex and the City) with 'trans' in the name.

Like many of these CSR-focussed groups, they will likely be funded by corporates offering them venue space, refreshments, employee speakers for events, other corporate resources (printing, office space, etc etc) for free under their HR/Diversity budgets (or under no budget for some resources of employees just use them).

It's easy to operate these kinds of things on non-funded basis with no actual money involved as corporates provide all the necessary infrastructure and resources for campaigns/events, etc.

Corporates prefer it that way too, as it's all off-book and doesn't need to go through any formal approvals process. I know that sounds dodgy as hell, but regardless of ethics/corporate transparency issues, it happens everywhere and is considered pretty standard practice for diversity initiatives in the city.

Ironic hey? Having had quite a few dealings with Bobbi Pickard the CEO of trans in the city I can say quite confidently that Bobbi genuinely wouldn't understand why women wouldn't be delighted with 'sex' being replaced by 'trans' in every aspects of their lives. For example Bobbi likes to use women's groups to campaign for trans inclusion in women's sport then acts surprised and hurt when the campaign is challenged.

I've tried to explain to Bobbi that women care about women's rights but it falls on deaf ears. I don't actually think any malice is intended.

Yeah, like when you rearrange your furniture to suit yourself , there's no malice towards the furniture.
Or when you crate your dog because it's inconvenient, there's no malice towards the dog.
A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do, you know.

Is it just me or does Trans in the City's website look/ feel very similar to INvolveUK, the organisation that is taking over from Stonewall at The BBC?

Can anyone tell me where all this transgender people have come from?

Such bullshit. My DD goes to a Catholic school and told me they’d been learning all the current lingo like cis. Luckily she knows it’s all a load of rubbish but not all her peers do.

please do @Tobogganist :) it's important. and relevant for the conversion therapy bill to see what children are being taught about gender identity.

I hope they haven't signed up with gender identity extremists again. Not after all this
Theeyeballsinthesky · 13/11/2021 15:48

After this happened earlier this year, I can’t say what I think of Bobbi without getting banned

This organisation is still going, and I have read that it held an awards ceremony recently and Susie Green was awarded "CEO of the year". Given that there are large law firms which are members or paid supporters of this organisation, I wonder if they realise they are indirectly endorsing someone who is doing all she can to circumvent the puberty blocker ban. It does not put the profession in a good light.
