It's odd, it seems to have passed under the radar.

I would love to know if he's right about the left fueling left wing populism - certainly I've been pushed into online spaces I would never have gone a million miles of because I can't tolerate the pain of betrayal from the left - and found some surprising things there.

Well, it's almost tautological, isn't it? If the parties calling themselves "left" do unpopular things, and the parties on the "right" oppose them, then the pushback will be "right-wing populism", by definition.
