I watched it last night. It's really good. I liked the 'naked self interest' line from KS. She knows and we know that a lot of these lecturers don't even believe in the snake oils they're peddling.
It reminds me of certain universities back in the 1990s when if you weren't a post-post-structuralist post-modernist with a side hustle in phenomenology you weren't edgy enough to get hired (and published by Routledge).
But yet ... the younger lecturers back then took the piss out of what were perceived as the old farts. We would never, ever threaten them, or try to get them sacked, or agitate students against them, or make their lives miserable. We wrote papers that disagreed with them and delivered them at conferences and published them, and engaged in rigorous debate.
This current twisting of truth and logic into 'words = violence' is mind grooming of some sort, by the academically untalented of the educationally vulnerable.
That's what happens when you let the university system operate like a supermarket chain sponsored by a MLM pyramid scheme. It needed reform but not this.
