Scottish legislation where gender was replaced with sex

I've just been reading about the fight to switch gender with sex in this Scottish legislation. I went to look at the legislation the amendment was targeted at (Victims and Witnesses (Scotland) Act 2014 www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2014/1/section/9 ) and it's not reflecting the change and says "Before a medical examination of the person in relation to the complaint is carried out by a registered medical practitioner in pursuance of section 31 of the Police and Fire Reform (Scotland) Act 2012, the constable must give the person an opportunity to request that any such medical examination be carried out by a registered medical practitioner of a gender specified by the person." Am I looking in the wrong place?

Sorry thought you were talking about the Forensic Services Bill.

Yes I think it was the Forensic Services Bill where the amendments were made to several Acts- the Victims and Witnesses Act was one of them but I just can't find an updated version of the Act where gender has been replaced with sex.

The status of that section is "prospective". If you click on the "?" there's an explanation that it is subject to change but there is not an enforcement date yet.

But the change has definitely passed into law! See the Forensic Medical Services Act (which is also still listed as "prospective"):
