Have just been having a heated conversation with DH. We agree on some things, but he insists he has seen a comment by Glinner about a TRA who made a failed suicide attempt, which was deeply offensive and gloating. I am sure he isn't right about this, but have a memory that someone like Bergdorf may have?

Yes I've also got a screenshot of that one. Perfect description. People need to get to grips with what is really happening and who is pushing it on an individual basis, because the purity spiralling denouncements and online toxicity will continue until they do.

It is amazing just how many transactivists are guilty of horrendous transphobia. Others have displayed crass examples of homophobia, racism etc. It seems that ok bigotry has fashions and misogyny is the acceptable bigotry today.

I wasn't "sent off" to find the proof, he was saying that while there's a great deal of horrible hate coming from the TRAs, there is also mud slinging from elsewhere. I have now proved him wrong on that. He sees FB posts from both GC and TWAW friends and is trying to think things through. I get very angry about the enormity of it so have decided to point him towards the right research.

From your OP it reads as you have had to provide evidence for an erroneous statement from your DH, the woman doing the work again, plus it required the efforts of more women (on this thread) to remember the original source and provide links to prove he was wrong. If he is going to confidently make these types of assertions, I think the onus should go back on him to back up his arguments.

I'm sorry if my tone comes across harshly, this was the first thread I read this morning and my tolerance for men dumping on women in this fight is very low until I've had my second cup of tea. After that I try to accept that this is just the way it is.
