I don't even know how to properly title this post.

Daye, the period product manufacturer, has gotten hold of my throwaway email address somehow, and sent a mailshot with a link to this blog post about big tech censoring women's health.

This is the same company which panders to gender woo with SM posts such as those in the attached images.

Pandering to those who are dysphoric doesn't help us drive change in female health. If anything it hampers it because it's becoming more of a minefield with every new pronoun and/or identity. We bleed because of our biology. If we don't bleed despite our biology that could be cause for concern and required medical intervention. Gender identity does not affect our body's ability to bleed.

I'm sure many of you can word it better. But it really riled me.

You never EVER hear from these menstruation companies about disabled women and ease of using products, older women, mothers, women after miscarriage, women with illnesses.

And now it's not even about women.

Erase your target audience and you kill your regular paying audience. How many repeat purchases do they think they will get from people who are scared of their own vaginas or who don't even have a vagina?

Twats. Overpriced products anyway.

@sacredfeminina

A friend of mine owns a menstrual cup company. She was absolutely hounded for using the word 'women'. She had to change every label on every product she had already made ( great for the environment!) it was very much a demand, and a threat.
It's sad that the only way to combat this is to join the hounding of companies from this side of the issue, because such hounding affects the outcomes.

It shouldn't, really, as it is the sales figures which matter and those who want every fertile woman to be called bleeders are a tiny minority. They won't buy enough to compensate the loss of business we could cause.

Sigh. I hate that nastiness is necessary now.

TWO threads on this subject have been deleted by Mumsnet in the last 2 days.
We are not allowed to say that men do not have periods. This thread will likely go the same way.
Don't suggest that men having a period is some kind of "thing" that we are not allowed to discuss on Mumsnet, we all know what that thing IS but it is "that which shall not be named".

Mumsnet are COMPLICIT in allowing this bullshit to go on because they are silencing the voices of women who are talking about REAL BIOLOGICAL SCIENTIFIC UNDENIABLE FACTS.

Yeah Mumsnet, MEN DO NOT HAVE PERIODS and those that say they do have issues we are not permitted to speculate on.
Deleting threads about it doesn't actually make the problem go away you know.
