Some people may remember the awful article PN wrote that didn't name JB, though it was clear that was who they were referring to. They've now taken it down. Not entirely satisfactory but better than nothing.

So, recapping, Dyess was a very unhappy young woman, possibly transman these days? I do hope something in her life has changed for the better because, remembering that article, nothing she wrote seemed to come from a good place.

And I hate all the necessary mealy mouthedness of apologies !

According to imdb, Dyess’ date of birt March 11, 1983. So not that young.

That's a solid win for Julie. It may not be a crushing victory but they've apologised, accepted the allegations were false and withdrawn the article. I bet they paid her legal fees too.

She'd have been daft to gamble on an expensive court case which would have achieved.little more than that and carried a lot of risk.

I think it's a sound result and leaves Julie B with plenty of time and energy to focus on the current pressing matters which concern her, her action having resulted in a welcome change to the editorial policy at P News.

If P News now further acts in a careless way, it has very little defence of ignorance left if it goes to court. JB has opened a door here.
