It is an extract from Jo Bartosch’s speech at the LGB Alliance Conference, 21 October 2021 and a rallying cry on the theme of pride and shame:

'I’m proud that Britain is known as “TERF Island" '

Love it!

I also liked “Mother Nature is a TERF”

With all the discussion about lobby groups, this hit me right in the solar plexus. This isn't a lobby group, it's a transnational oligarchy.

an ideology that has the backing of some of the world’s most powerful people.

And I’m not talking about elected politicians and peers who make the law in that building over there. I’m talking about the technocrats, those in Silicon Valley, with the power to shape minds. Social media has become a vector for body dysmorphia, and pornography has made the prospect of growing up female a sentence to sexual subservience.

The technological revolution has not just changed how we think; it has moved the locus of power.

Incredible - God she's good!! I wish I could send this to all my friends

What a rousing speech! And a very brave woman who was on this long before Nolan came along (no offence to him and his fantastic team). We can't all write books or exposes, or make speeches to the masses, but I can guess we can all do our little bit every day to push back against this madness. Even if it's just an anonymous thumbs in a comments section. At least those women (and men) brave enough to be at the coal face know they are not doing it for nothing.

She's right. Having spent my entire career (25 years so far) working for US Silicon Valley Tech companies I can't believe how quickly it turned from struggling to get women into the industry to embody, embrace and promote this new ideology.

When I complained to HR about Kelly Mahoney being platformed during Pride month because of the history of domestic violence I wasn't listened to. I handed in my notice shortly after.

It's the gaslighting that really gets me.
