The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that from 10 May 2018 to 23 November 2019, Dr Harrop inappropriately used his Twitter account to post tweets that were offensive and/or insulting and/or inappropriate in nature and some of which were intended to intimidate.

If the GMC don’t strike him off for this, then they really have lost all credibility. I don’t know how anyone could come back from that charge sheet. If you walked into your GP surgery and he was sitting there, you’d just walk straight back out - you couldn’t trust a doctor who conducts himself like this in public

According to JP. Harrop is only in this terrible position because mnetters organised a hate campaign against him and we used what he said in anger and frustration against him.

I do think his only possible defence would be some sort of escalating mental health issue.

The mentioned tweets are only a small amount of his activity in relation to E, approx 50 more towards E. E asked Harrop and C to stop on 10th April, Dr Harrop still continued on after this point, including about members of E’s family and E’s location

Harrop tweeted about E having a public Instagram of photographs of her children and where her children went to school. Harrop also posted about E’s Husband.

I don't know how this sort of shit could not be considered inciting violence.

I would not feel safe around this doctor. I could not discuss my physical or mental health needs with any expectation of privacy or care.

IIRC, Harrop posted some kind of fake prescription for Glinner, with the implication that the latter had an extremely serious mental health problem.

He did. Was a horrid thing for a doctor to do.

Harrop also inferred he had a private photograph of E which he said he would DM to others in one of his tweets, “check your DMs.”

Dr Harrop manually set his twitter location close to where E was, also chose a banner picture that was close to E’s area too. GMC this was Harrop intimidating those on the opposite side of the ‘transgender’ debate.

I thought it was strictly #NoDebate?

IIRC, Harrop posted some kind of fake prescription for Glinner, with the implication that the latter had an extremely serious mental health problem.

Wonder if that will come up, as that was one of the most serious incidents.

Re the 'take your meds' tweets - just imagine if you were one of his patients who takes medication for any kind of mental health disorder. What on earth is your reaction going to be when you see your OWN GP using your specific medical situation AS A KIND OF FUNNY 'JOKE' TO INSULT A STRANGER?

I would not feel safe around this doctor. I could not discuss my physical or mental health needs with any expectation of privacy or care.

God no. He'd use it against you as soon as he found out if your political viewpoints were different from his.

His behaviour was outrageous, as was that of a certain flying lawyer. I hope everyone involved in bullying & intimidation is named & shamed.

They can't really think that when he wasn't on his phone, he turned into a decent, responsible, caring, empathetic and non-sexist individual.

Can you imagine, when he wasn't being watched in public? His misogyny would be off the scale.

@tribunaltweets are tweeting every day from his tribunal.

Some of it will be held in private session and all the people involved are currently anonymous. We found out today that he was given 2 written warnings by his boss prior to it coming to the GMC so his ability to learn from his behaviour seems somewhat impaired...

There seems to be a hope that the definition of 'offensive' may not be specific enough or definite enough that the court cannot be certain whether or not a tweet met the criteria.

Later he will require them to explain how they can be certain that water is wet.

Hopefully the GMC may ask in return to pin down what transphobia actually is, we've been waiting years for that one.
