World menopause day....no mention of women!

I work for a council who are advertising world menopause day and offering support to managers & staff on "coping with the menopause".

It's quite a lengthy document detailing the health affects of the menopause and how it can be supported in the work place.
This is great don't get me wrong but throughout the whole document the word woman is not said once.
We are instead:
Employees
Staff
Many people
Those who experience menopause

The page encourages staff to talk openly and without embarrassment about the menopause yet they cannot even use the word woman!

I know this is a small hill to die on but as a WOMAN going through peri-menopause it pisses me off.

Maybe it is to point how more susceptible women are to complain from things in a way that men don't.

You see, all the men going through the menopause never complain about the symptoms or difficulties in a way women do.

You have to admire the way men sail through the menopause, and the way they put a brave face on it and plough ahead is an example to women. Tut, tut complaining women.

As a perimenopausal mess of hot flushes, irregular periods and acne this gives me the rage! Was very pissed off earlier by a post by a fellow member of staff at my large place of work (deliberately vagueness as v outing) re money she had raised for a cervical cancer charity. She avoided the word woman throughout by using peopleHmm Thank god it wasn't people with cervixes or I may have exploded or just melted in a sweaty puddle Angry It just didn't sound right! We should not have to use this language, it's clumsy and ridiculous!

I know where this is!
Not Red Wall, not West Yorkshire either.

Unless there's more than one (likely)

There is more than one.

Tbh I dont know why I am being so shadey 1000s of people work for this council!!

If I said they are so woke they cancel women only meetings in their city of spinners would that help?

Well, not sure what we all should expect.

Here is an article from last month defining lesbians as non-men.
