Where to donate money

I'm incensed by the infringement of women's rights - particularly the threat to women's safe spaces.

I don't quite know how to help, but I can donate a little money to those that do. Where is the best place to donate? I was thinking of 'Woman's Place UK' as I like what they say on Twitter, but grateful for any other suggestions.

Here's a similar thread from a couple of weeks ago:

You're welcome! Hello, by the way. Sorry my last post was a bit terse, was rushing around.

Odd that WPUK didn't get seem to get a mention on the other thread - they don't seem to be very vocal in asking for funding, so slipped people's minds I guess :)

No worries, interesting thread with lots of ideas.

There are a few individual Crowdfunding campaigns.

Raquel Rosario Sanchez is suing Bristol University for not allowing a woman only feminist society Hmm. If you go to the Crowdjustice website and search for Women Talk Back there is a fundraiser.

Also Keira Bell's appeal to the Supreme Court.

Also Marion Millar to fund her legal case (I think she might have been kicked off Crowdjustice, but you can search her twitter)

I've just given to the Marion Millar one, as what has happened to her is just outrageous.

The progress bar is stuck though! I'm hoping it will go up a bit eventually - it's got a long way to go.

(I might be getting a bit overinvested in donating and then stalking the site to see the totals going up, like the telethon totalizers back in the day).

I just donated and the progress bar didn't move either, even though the money came out of my account - so many it only updates every few days?

Keep prisons single sex do brilliant work, you can donate to them through their website. They also have printable leaflets you can produce at home if you are prone to leaving things laying around in public.

Another thing is awareness raising to generate strength of feeling and more pushback. Make some noise are planning to take the dino's on tour at events around the country after Fridays success, they want people to contact them if they want to arrange an event with them, their crowd funder is still open, they produced leaflets which they gave out and they will use funds to help women on low incomes attend their events. We need to make people look.

This isn't quite what you're after but the campaign on freedom of information need fome funds. Saw private eye tweeting about it. An awful lot if what we do know about how ghost has been playing out in the police, prisons, NHS etc etc is because of foi.

'The womens organisation' have just come out in support of the gc women fighting all this, against the bullying of them. See the telegraph. It's the only main womens organisation that has put its head above the parapet, where wep, fawcett and others have stayed quiet or backed the replacement of sex with gender id in law and policy. They accept donations and look like a really good org. They've had to go private on twitter and their Facebook has disappeared. I hope they don't back track so I'm planning to donate & email thanks.

Thanks all - I've gone for Sex Matters for now but I'll have a longer consideration to see who to give to next month.
