Really interesting, thanks for sharing.

I kept hearing the word 'people' though and not 'women'.

She's doing great work. But I kind of wish they'd spent some time talking about the clitorus in the body - they had a whole six minutes and wasted a lot of it on slightly tired snark.

Fascinating. Those diagrams should be compulsory for all school pupils doing sex ed. What amazing bodies women have. I've always been amazed at the different types of sensations during orgasm. I've described some as a high pitched, surface- level sensation and some as deep and low. Never know which type is coming and am fascinated by the complexity. The complexity of the anatomy really explains the depth and breadth of its capacity for sensation. We really need to help young girls realise how glorious this part of their anatomy is (in an age-appropriate way of course) I think of the girls who are having cosmetic double mastectomies and treating their nipples like they are just large moles and could weep as to what they are potentially depriving themselves of. I hope no one minds me talking like this on here? If I can't celebrate the clitoris on here, where can I Grin

Oh and the guy was a bit irritating in that piece and I didn't like the mock ups of her in the operating theatre but I by passed that afterwards and just went to the study she linked. Irony is that she had to team up with a plastic surgeon to do this research. Why aren't the wider obgyn community interested? Just the surgeons who are doing all the cosmetic labial 'tidyings' and ' tightenings' for lots of women being made to feel insecure about their labias by a porn-addled society.

And this is why I'll never be entirely comfortable on Mumsnet. People can't help how their brains are wired. We should at least support them.

We have a lovely thread on the vagina.

The Daily Show style of presentation isn't for everyone. And Trevor Noah was up to his usual racist tricks the other week referring to New Zealand as 'a white-ass nation.'

That said, no one else is covering this.

And you cannot help but notice the resemblance to man-parts. Or more likely, the resemblance of man-parts to the clitoris.

EmbarassingAdmissions I remember reading that thread at the time but it was lovely to revisit. Thanks for the link.

Crikey, it's one thing to understand that clueless men may know nothing about the clitoris, but OB/GYN people?

Good for her.
