That was good.

But I would say that Stonewall are not entirely responsible for institutional capture of Heath Trust policies - GIRES were writing transgender guides for the NHS long before Stonewall were involved and before the GRA2004.

I like the continual references to what the electorate think rather than what people in general think. The presentation of the polling in terms of what people think, what people think when they're told the facts, and what Tory voters think when they're told the facts would have caused some reflection in the room. I wonder how many MPs are attending. It won't be enough but awareness is growing.

The other recording seemed to get a lot of views after the event. I wonder how many might not feel able to go, but watch later?

Yes, I did wonder whether they went for an early start because there would be too many events demanding people's attention as the day goes on.

Nic Williams really has a great grasp and ability to convey how to see the situation doesn't she?

The "new" part of the discussion for me was Lisa Townsend, Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey, talking about her experience of the opposition she hit like a brick wall when she tried to engage with the Police over gender identity ideology.

Once the chit chat is out of the way, she starts her piece properly 7 minutes in:

That came as no surprise, but it was great watching women being able to speak freely to get this stuff into the open

Fantastic watch, thank you Baroness. Awful to hear that incident of the patient complaining about being watched, as per safeguarding because 'transphobia', the watching stopped and they went on to assault women Sad Total capitulation, whole organisations and departments all running scared of saying "no" and it's women who pay the price.

Bravo Lisa, those who refused to engage, who saw her as making a fuss over nothing should hang their heads in shame. The woman from the refuge who was so relieved to hear the issues would be addressed because she darent say anything Sad

I can't recall the specifics (listened to it all while working) but unbelievable someone was told their funding would be pulled if they named a unit after JK Rowling!!

And yeah, transmen prisoners stay in the female estate, says it all doesn't it!
