He's not been on yet. Will be interested to see if Marr brings up cervix gate (or related) with him.

Andy Burnham also on now talking about women and police.

Burnham wasn't tackled about the Labour conference and women. Women's safety and the police was briefly mentioned and that was as far as it went.

PM on sometime in the next 10-15 mins.

On now.

Starting with Sarah Everard.

I am very interested to see whether this is brought up. And how Boris handles it if it is brought up.

I imagine that the party will have watched and learnt and that a top rated PR agency has been brought in to shape a statement that will seem reasonable but may be full of holes and satisfy no one. Or. He could just blunder though. It is Boris after all.

OvaHere · 03/10/2021 09:39

I'm not sure it is going to be brought up. It's all about the police and rape prosecution so far and whether there will be a public inquiry into the Met.

Still worth listening to but I don't think Marr is going to bring up gender ideology this morning.

Moved onto lorry drivers and petrol now so I suspect that's the subject of women done.

In the words of Angry Girl: BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH!

allmywhat · 03/10/2021 09:55

whether there will be a public inquiry into the Met

What did he say about this?

OvaHere · 03/10/2021 09:57

Basically that the Met is currently investigating and the IOPCC needs to investigate and we'll see the outcomes of that. He didn't seem strongly opposed but was hedging.

Marr gave him a really hard time this morning, just not on the subject of women. He got an easy ride there compared to the rest.

Pig-gate will probably be Boris's cervix-gate. Grin

Thanks! Noncommittal waffle as usual then. How very useful that bumbling PG Wodehouse persona is when he doesn’t want to answer a question, (i.e. always.)

HellToupee · 03/10/2021 10:00

If only Marr would let his guests speak…

SunShinesBrightly · 03/10/2021 10:26

Just watched it.
Marr tells BJ he is starting to Bluster.
BJ shuts up momentarily.
This man is in charge of our country. I still can’t get my head around it.

SunShinesBrightly · 03/10/2021 10:28

@HellToupee

If only Marr would let his guests speak…
If only BJ would stop rambling and let Marr get a word in. It’s an interview not a monologue.
Jaysmith71 · 03/10/2021 10:44

If only Bozzer would answer the bloody question and not waffle or run away and hide in a fridge.

OvaHere · 03/10/2021 11:09

The more I think about it the more I realise it was naive to think Boris was going to get the same questions about the word woman or cervixes.

Marr clearly has no love for Johnson and probably has no intention of handing him an easy opportunity to say something sensible and popular that might bury in the news cycle all the stuff he was blustering on.

Perhaps Boris was sat there thinking "Damn man, ask me about cervixes" Grin

I doubt it. BJ is hardly a role model.

TheMarzipanDildo · 03/10/2021 18:19

“Perhaps Boris was sat there thinking "Damn man, ask me about cervixes"”

I have a feeling Boris would be equally blustering about this tbh.
