Is anyone else going to this on Tuesday?
I'm really looking forward to it, but wondering if there will be protests like last time? There's been some discussion of this on Twitter.
Last time the protesters were allowed to behave terribly towards the attendees by the police who stood by and let them intimidate people arriving then kick the windows for the entire meeting.
I feel things have changed in the last two years, though, do others feel the same? Rosie Duffield being too scared for her safety to attend conference means women's security is still a massive issue, but the very fact it's being reported on in the media tells me people are paying attention now, and all eyes will be on any protestors. This feels very different to before.
I'm no longer a Labour member (the event is timed to coincide with the Labour Conference in Brighton) but I'm going anyway as reckon it's important to support our sisters still fighting from within, and especially when there seem to be so many people out there who want to prevent us even speaking to each other.
