Grin This play was first produced in 2009! It was written by Mike Bartlett, who has subsequently gone on to immense TV success - Dr Foster, for example. He’s an enviably efficient playwright.

You could always read the play script before going to see it - widely available. It’s also been produced on the radio - don’t know if it’s still on iplayer. The play itself is probably more interesting in its form and execution than in its subject matter - but it’s very popular so I can see why it’s being revived.

Sorry - that was probably a bit superficial - but in addressing issues of sexuality and identity between men and women it’s no different to perhaps 95% of all drama ever produced.

It’ll be a long, long time before every single piece of theatre is re-purposed to suit a particular agenda.
