Erasure of lesbians in history here? Surely some women disguised themselves as men in order to have relationships with other women in a society that forbade it?

I was going to start a thread about this, but it’s so weak I thought it didn’t justify it.

All humans have a gender identity, a sense of who they are in terms of gender
No we don’t.

Ozanj · 10/09/2021 20:03

I think most it not all of them would have been lesbians. Same goes for men who dressed as women around gay bars in the 30s - they did it to avoid detection, not because they thought they were women.

There was a Guardian article yesterday about the goddess at the heart of British history and Arthur was given his sword by the lady of the lake and the myth arose from the idea of Britannia and the divine feminine and goddess legends and yada yada....

I couldn't read it as was just mentally screaming but you insist a woman is someone of either sex!

The right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing.

Quite.

You might as well say all humans have a soul. Or that all humans believe in God.

Highly arrogant assumption of superiority of personal faith that is forcibly applied to all, heathens included.

You might as well say all humans have a soul. Or that all humans believe in God.

Or that all humans have a flibble identity, a sense of who they are in terms of flibble.

Flibble either being undefined, or somehow associated with a physical attribute, like, say, height.

You could rebuild the entirety of gender identity ideology using flibble+height instead of gender+sex. Would work just the same.

Could even have neo-flibbles. Boring cis-flibble people might have flibbles like 5'10", but really radical transflibble people could have flibbles like 125mph. No need for neo-flibbles to be constrained by cisnormative units of length.

I wish they would stop this re-editing of history, they appear so close to getting it

*Later, Bundy took on the identity of a man more fully, perhaps because this represented the easiest way to be granted passage as a sailor, and set off.,

and then decide that they must be transgender rather than trying to break out of the bounds of femaleness.

It is so annoying.

BlackForestCake · 10/09/2021 21:55

I hope they keep coming out with more of this stuff please, it just helps expose the homophobia behind genderism.

“Lesbians are men”, where have I heard that before?
