This is an important case because of so many issues; including safeguarding and the protection of whistle blowers.

Every little victory over the shouty people who tend to overwhelm any conversation about trans issues with their own agenda needs to be applauded. Congratulations Sonia Appleby. You have more friends than you may think. There are still a lot who are too frightened of being targeted online by the shouty people but we are beginning to stick our necks back out again as a general rule.

Not enough damages in my view.

I'm delighted to hear Sonia has been vindicated, though the compensation should have been far higher. GIDS is a disgrace. Sonia defended children when so many around her were too scared of losing their jobs.
