Just that really ... I was at JB's book launch event last night. Incredible room full of fantastic women, super smart conversations and brilliant panel. In particular Handley Freeman and Pragna Patel were phenomenal. 'We work together out of need' loved it. Anyone else go?

I was there. I agree about Hadley and Pragna both being phenomenal. Hadley has clearly had a really tough time at the Guardian. Her book on anorexia sounds like it will be worth a read.

Yes Hadley's comment about 'wait a few weeks for more' re the Guardian was cryptic/interesting. I came away feeling very inspired. Like many I suspect, I am nervous about being a vocal feminist on GC topics at work etc. but am emboldened by the bravery and truth of so many women I spoke to last night. Looking at getting to Filia now 😆

Thank you for going, there are loads of us who can't attend in person, for reasons.

Saw her tweet about signing books for lots of young women too, which is great.

Looks a great book
I am definitely buying it and leaving it ostentatiously on the coffee table in front of dd18

Yes big age range there, lots of young women too. also many women who like me are pretty rookie also there, who have decided enough is enough and are reclaiming feminism for women.

She was pretty much on fire on Radio 2 today, about 12.15. Talking about Colin Pitchfork. Jeremy Vine just sat back and pretty much let her go. His only quibble gave her a second chance to state her position.

I may not have entirely agreed with all she said but she said it bloody well?

I was there, it was great, as was the pub chat afterwards, met some fantastic women. I'm sooo hungover today tho!
