Julie is a true badass. And - contrary to her public image - one of the most generous, thoughtful and kind people you could ever hope to meet.

There's also a good review in today's Observer by Rachel Cooke.

There is indeed a very good review by Rachel Cooke in today’s Observer - very blunt and refreshing in its views.

Fantastic. I think I've preordered ... going to check.

JB deserves unlimited props for her unwavering work supporting women. And her bravery and her humour.

A good time to take a look at some of JB's best appearances, maybe.

Here's another one!

Julie in that first video, 8:45-9:00. One of the best clips ever.

Melanie Reid is going to review it, she says in her Times Scotland colums today:

"By serendipity, I am reading Julie Bindel’s book Feminism for Women (review soon): a reminder that nothing has changed. Society, its institutions and structures, is a patriarchy. Men are still in power, women are still oppressed. Sexism thrives. And how perfectly the Salmond affair illustrates it. Read the comments online if you doubt me."

Grin Grumpy.

You don't know you're born.

'they'll use facts and logic' - oh, pesky feminists with their facts and logic.

Rachel Cooke’s observer review also in the guardian today

Great review from Rachel Cooke. And it's Book of the Day too. Am encouraged that the Observer is much less in thrall to anti-feminist ideology than the Guardian.

dolorsit · 31/08/2021 09:58

Rather unusually for me, I've pre-ordered. I'm hoping that is something I can pass onto my daughter to read to give her a broad view of my approach to feminism. I'll also point out that I don't agree with Bindel on everything and see if she can work out where I have a difference of opinion.
