I found this article very illuminating. The respected academics mentioned have all been smeared and vilified for refusing to ignore the elephant in the room, examining it closely and writing peer reviewed articles on the subject.
Anyone new to the debate should read the article and follow the links to find out what you aren't being told. It's a subject that is almost impossible to discuss on this forum without being punished, so I recommend reading it and being very careful if you choose to respond on this thread. People will be watching and will want to punish you just as severely as they punished the academics, so they will report you, and try to get you given strikes and banned from mumsnet if you dare to name the unmentionable.
