Thanks to Glinner's substack for bringing attention to this.

Yet more misogynistic double standards from twitter.

The account itself. Why t f does this exist?

(It is more nasty pranks and accidents than women getting attacked, but even so.)

Imagine if it was any group other than women. Misogyny is the last acceptable form of everyday bigotry.

Exactly. Black people getting hurt. Trans people getting hurt. It would, quite rightly, get removed from the platform asap and may even attract media attention. But it's just women (infantalised, although there are some girls in the actual sense in there too).

I've reported the account. Maybe if we all do something might be done. On grounds of "gender"!! A protected characteristic apparently!

EishetChayil · 13/08/2021 15:02

As if any more proof were needed for just now misogynistic society is.

I spend quite a lot of time nowadays worrying about the experiences my daughter will have growing up in it.

TabbyStar · 13/08/2021 15:19

Reported too.

Zeev · 13/08/2021 15:35

But saying certain people are biologically male gets you permabanned.

thinkingaboutLangCleg · 13/08/2021 15:41

This morning I read about a man killing five people in Plymouth, after spending time on anti-women Incel sites, which have also been used by other mass killers. And we know two women a week are killed by men. Now this.

But we’re not allowed to keep women-only spaces or facilities, because ‘not all men are like that’.

FrankButchersDickieBow · 13/08/2021 17:18

This made me feel physically sick when I seen it. I find it quite upsetting to be honest 😪

LazyViper · 13/08/2021 17:27

Like Germaine Greer said in 1970, “Women have very little idea of how much men hate them”.

RoastChicory · 13/08/2021 20:59

Funnily enough the account never shows a transwoman being hurt. Wonder why

SuperSleepyBaby · 13/08/2021 21:25

I reported it too.

That’s sad- those are real people being hurt and humiliated.

Tanith · 13/08/2021 22:38

"But we’re not allowed to keep women-only spaces or facilities, because ‘not all men are like that’."

Odd how no-one ever uses 'Not All Men Are Like That' when claiming it's too dangerous for transwomen to use male facilities.

Quite.

Why does this prove that all men are women haters? Any more than posts on this thread could be used to prove that all women are men haters?
Any decent person; male, female or trans is going to be disgusted by this stuff.

thinkingaboutLangCleg · 14/08/2021 09:58

No one is saying all men are women-haters, My. But some are, probably more than we suspect — 93,000 followers of this “girls getting hurt” video channel, for a start.

That’s why we’ve always had women-only spaces, which have never been questioned until recently. It’s why we are fighting to keep or regain women-only spaces.

I'm glad we all reported the account has been suspended!

Good.
Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/09/2021 21:02

Some good news for once then!

MargaritaPie · 18/09/2021 01:56

I just checked. It's up for me, although there's no content on it.

Bigniddy · 18/09/2021 02:17

I'm not sure why people have taken to being so offended by videos of what everyone once used to see as harmless pranks. I remember sitting with my family watching 'you've been framed' and finding it very funny watching people having harmless accidents.

I mean I'm sure those in the videos would have found it a bit humiliating, but hey, everyone gets small knockdowns in life.

Is it the case that we all lead such generally comfortable lives now that people need to go searching for things to be offended by?

If it were torture and brutality I'd be right beside you but common.....

It's the nasty focus on it being "girls" getting hurt. With things like you've been framed, part of the community of it was that it could have been any of us. This, on the other hand, has a focus on a subset of people in a way that is nasty. Just as it would be nasty to deliberately focus on disabled people who have accidents.

It's not a matter of "Argh! Thank god it wasn't me!" It's "Ha, ha, serves her right, bitch."

CandidaAlbicans2 · 18/09/2021 08:38

The Twitter account has been suspended but the Instagram one is still active 😡 Annoyingly there's no suitable category when reporting, as is so often the case with these types of accounts, so had to select "I don't like it" 🙄

ArabellaScott · 18/09/2021 08:45

I reported the Insta one as hate speech. 'shouldn't be on instagram'

If anyone is going to take VAWG seriously, post Sarah Everard and an 'epidemic' of DV, this kind of shit has to be questioned.

SunflowersInTheShade · 18/09/2021 15:33

Looks like the insta one has gone too

ArabellaScott · 18/09/2021 22:54

Good.
