Evening all. Saying hello from my deck in sunny California. Wasn't so sunny today but I'm not complaining. I have ME/CFS, stuck at home a lot even before the pandemic, so a Zoom meeting sometime with fellow GC women would be great. Obviously as there are people in Oz and on the Left Coast as well as in Blighty, people timing might be hard.

Not 'people timing', just 'timing'. Duh.

I'm stuck awake nursing. Send help 😴

Ugh. Cats fighting woke me up half an hour ago and now it's time for work. I wish I wasn't awake.

C here too! I’m awake and having tea and toast as a preemptive breakfast so I don’t have to bother in the morning

Reminds me of when I was a student doing nights. My friend and I discovered how to make the best chocolate sauce for ice cream - melt roughly equal quantities of dark chocolate, golden syrup and butter. Maybe slightly lower ratio of butter.

We had vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce morning and night for a week. At 9am after work it was supper. And at 7 pm after sleep and before work it was supper.

I always wake up with the sun, curtains or not, I sleep very little in summer.

Off to Glasgow in an hour for the first time in 1.5 years, very excited.

Looks like MN is becoming the Empire upon which the Sun never sets!

And hoping to continue. women all over the world joined together forming huge armies to get the world in order...images of women in all direc5ions, woods fields hills mountains in boats. Sadly the reality when I woke was the same old shit, and more, so now awake worrying..

Sitting on my deck again, while overhead two male hummingbirds fight it out over the feeder (which has four places on it for hungry hummingbirds) and the male mourning-doves annoy the bejesus out of the female mourning-doves who just came here for a quiet supper.

It's a good thing human males don't behave like this, isn't it, girls?

@DifficultBloodyWoman I don’t think these issues get any airtime here except by Bernard lane that I know of! Although there was an article today about the council in WA that refused to allow women only swimming sessions - largely multicultural population, very un multicultural council, who presumably thought you don’t need those and voted 9-5 against. So frustrating.
I do like that I think it’s our Vic state labour govt seen to be opening/planning a trans refuge, some beds for refuge seekers and some for people who’ve had to travel for transitioning surgery and need somewhere to stay. That dedicated space seems a good idea.
No other good news in oz I know of for feminists especially not anyone who works in parliament
