@Soontobe60

Just out of interest, if I buy the kindle version, can I read it in my iPad?
Yes, you can download the Kindle App on your ipad (I have it)

Thanks @AntiSocialDistancer, ordered it.

It's on Google play for 99p as well so I have purchased it from there. Still need to finish the other book (s) first but will get to it.

One word of jargon Stock uses that she doesn't explain, but I think I've understood from context - "ahistorical".

I would previously have understood this to mean something like "contrary to historical fact".

The dictionary definition is "lacking historical context or perspective".

The actual meaning in Stock seems to be something like "not specific to a particular time period" or "true across all times and places".

For example, she speaks of the gender ideologists who "deny the ahistorical reality of two sexes".

It's one of the rare times that she slipped into philosopher jargon without explaining herself.

Both the Stock and Joyce books are excellent, though I preferred Joyce's as more accessible.

I know there's been another thread on it, but if people are looking for something more entertaining on this topic, do read The End of the Earth is Flat by Simon Edge - a satire on the trans movement in general and Stonewall in particular. It really does bring home how mad this whole business is.

Back at 8.99 this morning.

You have to watch for these flash offers.

Yes, I only checked whether there was anything worth getting the night before last, but would have missed this without OP's kindness! I like to have physical books, so wouldn't have paid full price for a kindle version too, but at 99p I've now got both Grin
