I had never heard of John Money but this article is very interesting

quadrant.org.au/magazine/2021/07-08/the-sordid-origins-of-transgender-theory/

Interesting to note the mention of Marxism especially with the rise of the openly communist organisation BLM in the US and the rest of the world - there is a lot of money funding these causes

One thing in the article bothers me though - "Most such attacks come from postmodern left-wing academics and feminists. " - this is an Australian news site so I wonder are Australian feminists different in some way as the YouTuber Sydney Watson often criticizes feminists in her videos

I suspect the author has never spoken to a feminist as he's confused feminists with queer theory extremists 😂

John Money was in Dr Jane Clare Jones 'The Political Erasure of Sex' report and luckily she knows what a feminist is!

In Dr Clare Jones report page 2:
– the sexologist John Money, working with
intersex children at John Hopkins University, developed
a model which ascribed the individual’s sense of their
sex to a combination of biological and sociological
factors. Money is responsible for first coining the term
‘gender’ to describe this internal sense of one’s sex, and
‘gender role’ to denote “all those things that a person
says or does to disclose himself or herself as having the
status of boy or man, girl or woman.” (Cited Meyerowitz
2002: 114)

it continues. and it's more reliable than the man in Australia 😅

My perception from Dr Clare Jones report is that Martine Rothblatt trans woman created it

"the claim that sex should properly be
conceived as the sex of the mind (or ‘gender identity’),
and not the sex of the body, or, as Rothblatt phrases it,
“[w]e must finally end the notion that sex is between
our legs” and “realize that sex is between our ears.”4
(ICTLEP 1994a: 115)

You'd need a strong stomach to read all the ghastly things Money did to children. How anybody can attempt to justify these crimes is beyond me.

People that are prone to cultural tribalism will justify anything done by a member of their tribe rather than admit it as wrong. Intersectionality means that group is widened enormously to lots of people that will look the other way and not pass comment.

This talk from a paediatric endocrinologist mentions Money early on, along with a couple of other early proponents of medical treatment for people with gender issues. As far as I can make out, the talk was recorded at a conference or similar for conservative Christians in the US, so these are probably people who would disagree with many of us here on other social issues, but on this one we are all agreed, and he has the advantage of having the medical/scientific/academic training to know the research base for the current affirmation model is deeply flawed. Worth a watch. It's about 40 minutes long.

Even if that were true (and I don't see that it is), you don't rape someone with what's between your ears.

Ach quote didn't work!

Second this, it's one of the things which made me really understand the evolution of it all.
