At last - calm, rational, evidence based medicine. The sort we used to practise routinely, before being bullied into the “no debate” unicorns and rainbows nonsense.
Let’s hope this outbreak of sense spreads globally before any more children are irreparably damaged.

Hooray for Finland! Hopefully this helps other countries follow suit.

I like that they say 'first the Brits' who started the push back against automatic affirming.

Their new guidelines were issued a year ago.

A year ago, the Finnish Health Authority (PALKO/COHERE) deviated from WPATH's "Standards of Care 7," by issuing new guidelines that state that psychotherapy, rather than puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, should be the first-line treatment for gender-dysphoric youth. This change occurred following a systematic evidence review, which found the body of evidence for pediatric transition inconclusive.
