Feed your newborn babies experimental drugs!

What? Does that sound absurd and possibly even criminal?

Well, that was yesterday’s perspective, and today is a new day.

The Australian Breastfeeding Association reckons this is A-Okay.

@AnotherEmma

Well, trans women are biologically male but don't identify as men, so I prefer to make it as clear as possible who I'm referring to. I don't think TWAW but I don't insist on calling them men either, just because they are biologically male. Trans women is fine.
You are absolutely free to have your opinion and I would not want to compel speech, but my stance is that using "trans women" gives credibility to the notion that humans can transition into the opposite sex. We cannot. Human sex is binary and immutable. It isn't about being kind or not. It is about facts.

I see your point, I just think that we can defend and protect women's identity and services without trying to erase the words that trans people prefer to use (as some TRAs are trying to do for the words "woman", "mother", "breastfeeding" etc).

I do not have an identity - except for the way I physically look. That is an identity. I need my biological sex class protected. Women that have sex dysphoria need the exact same thing. We need to stop being afraid of the truth and confronting difficult truths. This is how we got here in the first place. Someone didn't just say "NO!"

Once men who identify as women can / must be facilitated to breastfeed, even just producing a little secretion, their requirements for support become equal to the mother. And here we have a huge problem looming.
If men in dresses can be the ‘mother’ /baby dyad, then there is no reason whatsoever this can apply to all men. Where does this leave the mother who once was able to persuade the family court she should not be separated in the first months because she was breastfeeding? Now the father can claim that role. What of the mothers right to maternity leave? Now the father can be breastfeeding, perhaps he will opt to have that time off instead since he has chosen to be the primary chest feeder?

Such excellent points.
